Overview

This is an  OSS Academy® Family Violence Response online training course offered for Peace Officers, Jailers, and Telecommunicators.

This curriculum is designed to provide law enforcement and corrections officers with up-to-date information on issues surrounding family violence in North America. Experience and thought provoked officers know that no common call for service is more trying and stressful than that of a domestic or family violence call. In this course, we discuss the definition of such acts, the predominant aggressor factors of these offenders, various types of abuse, assistance that is available to victims, and the importance and methods of conducting a proper investigation. 

Please note, the entire course final exam(s), and course evaluation(s) must be completed in order to receive one (1) hour of course credit.
