This is the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) elective Fentanyl & Law Enforcement Response #2024 online training course for Texas Peace Officers, Jailers, and Telecommunicators. Fentanyl is a prescription drug and a synthetic opioid with the same effects as morphine but much more potent. Because it is so potent and readily available, the cartels use fentanyl and its analogs as an additive (cut into) to heroin and other controlled substances. This course consists of three parts:
