This course is designed to equip public safety professionals with practical Spanish language skills to recognize and respond to situations where language barriers could signal threats or require effective verbal control.

Through this course, participants will develop a working capability to understand key Spanish words and phrases that may indicate an intent to harm or escalate a situation. Additionally, the course provides instruction on how to use Spanish commands and phrases to control potentially dangerous individuals effectively. The materials also empower participants to communicate essential information and instructions clearly during interactions with Spanish-speaking individuals.

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:

   - Recognize and define critical Spanish words and phrases related to safety threats.
   - Speak key Spanish commands and phrases to de-escalate and manage high-risk situations.
