Overview
This is a Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) elective Active Shooter Response online training course offered for Texas Peace Officers, Jailers, and Telecommunicators.

This course provides law enforcement officers with essential training to prepare for and respond to active shooter situations. Content includes:

. Real case study analysis of past active shooter incidents
. First responder, individual, and team tactics
. Immediate response protocols and decision-making under stress
. Officer safety, communication, and coordination skills

Officers completing this training will gain practical strategies to increase survivability for themselves, victims, and bystanders in active shooter incidents.

An officer’s response to an active shooter event is always critical. Whether serving as the only officer on duty, the first responder to a dispatched call, or as part of a designated response team, decisive action saves lives.

Please note, the entire course, final exam(s), and course evaluation(s) must be completed in order to receive four (4) hours of course credit.

TCOLE Reporting
