This is an  OSS Academy® Drugs of Abuse Investigations online training course offered for Peace Officers, Jailers, and Telecommunicators.

This course identifies and discusses multiple abused drugs and their general effects, and how they are made available for purchase in the United States by illegal means. There are numerous psychoactive drugs that are deemed illegal in the U.S. It is illegal to posses them, distribute them, or manufacture any drugs that can be abused. Psychoactive drugs alter the way the brain takes and uses information. The results can be disastrous! Often, people on drugs are highly unpredictable, even doing things that are entirely out of character. Continuing the use of drugs on a normal basis can result in long term, irreversible effects. 

Please note, the entire course final exam(s), and course evaluation(s) must be completed in order to receive one (1) hour of course credit.
