This is a Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) elective Analyzing Missing Persons Investigations #3276 online training course offered for Texas Peace Officers, Jailers, and Telecommunicators. This is a comprehensive 4-hour training designed for law enforcement professionals to deepen their understanding of missing persons cases. This course covers critical topics such as age-specific legislation, reporting requirements, high-risk populations, and statewide alerts like AMBER, Silver, and Endangered Missing Person Alerts. Through case studies and scenario-based training, students will explore real-world applications, focusing on the complexities of missing children and adults, including those with mental or developmental disabilities, the elderly, and individuals in vulnerable situations like homelessness. Participants will gain the skills necessary to effectively assess and respond to high-risk cases, ensuring better outcomes for those in urgent need. This course is ideal for licensed peace officers with a minimum of two years of experience and who have completed the Basic Missing and Exploited Persons course. Please note, the entire course, final exam(s), and course evaluation(s) must be completed in order to receive four (4) hours of course credit.
