This is an  OSS Academy® Field Training Officer Duties  online training course offered for Peace Officers, Jailers, and Telecommunicators.

Properly administered field-training programs ensure that law enforcement and corrections professionalism continues to evolve. 
A well-trained Field Training Officer (FTO), operating within a functional field-training program, has a better chance of teaching a new employee how to successfully apply classroom knowledge in a real-life, real-time environment.

Another objective is to provide standardized training within an agency so all affected new employees are exposed to the procedures most important to that agency.         

Please note, the entire course final exam(s), and course evaluation(s) must be completed in order to receive 15 hours of course credit.
