This is an  OSS Academy® Juvenile Interview & Interrogation online training course offered for Peace Officers, Jailers, and Telecommunicators.

Juvenile interview and interrogation processes are undergoing unprecedented changes in many states. We are learning that juveniles are particularly prone to give false information, and even false confessions, when questioned by peace officers. As such, court decisions are leading police to question juveniles differently than adults. Interview and interrogation is standard training for law enforcement agencies. However, it typically does not cover the developmental differences between adults and youths, nor does it cover recommended techniques for interviewing and interrogating juvenile offenders.

Please note, the entire course final exam(s), and course evaluation(s) must be completed in order to receive one (1) hour of course credit.
