This is an OSS Academy® Use of Force & Deadly Force online training course offered for Peace Officers, Jailers, and Telecommunicators. Use of Force is one of the most critical issues facing law enforcement professionals today. Too frequently, officers are injured or killed while responding to calls. Others are killed or injured while hesitating to act decisively in the face of perceived danger. This life threatening hesitation occurs when an officer must stop and think of the fundamentals of force, their options, and the consequences of their actions before acting. This course helps you avoid that crucial hesitation by reviewing the critical fundamentals of Use of Force. When you are well-trained, knowing what to act on when applying various force options comes second nature. The overall goal of this course is to save lives.
