This is an OSS Academy® Demonstrations & Events - Part II - Unlawful online training course offered for Peace Officers, Jailers, and Telecommunicators.
This course is the second in a series of three courses on Demonstrations & Events. As this course is a continuation course, it is helpful if participants have successfully completed Demonstrations and Events I – Lawful, which develops concepts, practices, and terminology that will be used without explanation in this course. This training session examines a proper law enforcement response to unlawful demonstrations and events protected by the U.S. Bill of Rights. First Amendment activities include all forms of speech and expressive conduct used to convey ideas and/or information, express grievances, or otherwise communicate with others. It includes both verbal and non-verbal expression. Please note, the entire course final exam(s), and course evaluation(s) must be completed in order to receive one (1) hour of course credit. NOTE: This is not a TCOLE accredited course.
