This is the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) mandated Texas State & Federal Law Update #3185 offered in an online training course format for Texas Peace Officers. Multiple bills passed by the 85th Texas Legislature will have an impact on Texas law enforcement. There were administrative changes, changes in existing statutes, and new laws. By pursuing equality in justice and ensuring public safety, Texas’ law enforcement professionals will better serve their communities by increasing their awareness of changes and additions to state statutes. Critical changes are highlighted throughout this course by our instructors and are easily accessible by selecting the appropriate tab.
Please note, the entire course (including any applicable course parts), final exam(s), and course evaluation(s) must be completed in order to receive five (5) hours of course credit.
